PTSA After School Math Counts Competition

Please only register for Math Counts if you received an email from Wendy Chan asking you to do so.

All other registrants will be removed, and any fees associated with registering will not be refunded.

The DVMS MathCounts Club is an after-school program held on Fridays, with a mission to nurture students' love for mathematics in a healthy, competitive environment.

MathCounts is a popular national middle school mathematics competition that promotes problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward math for students in grades 6-8.

MathCounts will meet on most Fridays from 3-5 pm, September through early March.
The meeting calendar will be shared via email.

Each session includes:

Practice Math Test created from the MathCounts competition database.
Snack Break
Math Lesson taught by High School Mentors, followed by a review of that day's test.

The cost is $80 per student. These fees are used to cover the following expenses:

Database for competition math problems
Registration for Team Competition
AMC 8 Test
Weekly snacks and supplies
Parties (Holiday and Year-end)

Deadline to Register for MathCounts Club 2 pm, Friday 9/12

Volunteers must meet the SRVUSD Volunteer Requirements for Level 1 clearance.
